Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Seventy One Gin different from regular gin?

Seventy One Gin is aged in oak casks for exactly 71 nights, which adds vanilla, caramel, and wood notes while maintaining traditional gin botanicals. This unique aging process creates a spirit that’s more complex than traditional gin but still distinctly gin-forward.

How should I serve oak-aged gin?

Oak-aged gin like Seventy One can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in premium cocktails. The oak aging makes it sophisticated enough for sipping straight, while the botanical complexity elevates classic gin cocktails.

Is this gin good for cocktails or just sipping?

Seventy One Gin excels in both applications. The oak aging adds depth to cocktails without overwhelming the gin character, making exceptional martinis and negronis while being complex enough for neat enjoyment.

What botanicals are in Seventy One Gin?

The gin features hand-picked botanical absolutes, though the specific blend is proprietary. The oak aging complements traditional gin botanicals like juniper while adding vanilla and spice notes from the wood.

How does the 71-night aging affect the flavor?

The precise 71-night aging period allows the gin to absorb subtle oak flavors without becoming overly woody. This creates vanilla sweetness, gentle tannins, and warming spices while preserving the bright botanical character essential to gin.
